Yamaha MT07 sticker installation

MT-07 sticker installation guide instructions

Ensure that you clean the area thoroughly!

Before installing your stickers, make sure that the place is dry and there is no wind. Preparing the area is the most crucial part of the sticker installation. If you put the sticker on a cold or dirty surface, it would not stick properly. So, make sure that the area is clean and free from any dirt. You can use soap and water, rubbing alcohol (70%), or any other fast-drying cleaner. Rubbing alcohol is our favorite because it dries within seconds and leaves no residue behind. However, refrain from using household spray cleaners like Windex as they leave behind a residue or oily substance, defeating the purpose of adhesion.

Decide and peel

After cleaning your bike, decide where you want the sticker to be placed. Use a measuring tape to measure the different parts of the bike to ensure that you have the correct measurements. Use a piece of masking tape to mark the measurements, usually four for left, right, top, and bottom, to create a boxed area to put the sticker in place. After deciding where you want to position the sticker, peel the sticker back. If it does not stick to the transfer tape on the first pull, replace the transfer tape and push it together with your fingers or use a credit card to press it.

Place that sticker on your bike

Now, fully peel the sticker off the backing and hold it on the tips of the transfer tape. Avoid touching the back of the sticker as it may leave dirt on its backside. Hold each hand on the furthest corners and keep the sticker tight so that it does not fold in on itself. Place one end of the sticker down and smooth it out to the other end until the sticker is fully placed.

Finally, wait for five minutes before removing the transfer tape. You may have to assist the smaller stickers off the transfer paper before removing all the transfer tape. Enjoy!

Removal of stickers:

If you decide to remove the stickers in the future, start peeling on the edge and remove it at a downward slanted angle. Use rubbing alcohol or goo gone to remove any sticky residue left behind.
